Andrew's first album, the original "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" album was released on vinyl in January 1969 marking Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice's first collaboration. It was the first recording of the musical and was intended as a concept album to showcase the shows' potential and played a crucial role in its expansion into a full-length stage production. This format would go on to be repeated for both Jesus Christ Superstar & Evita.
