Andrew said: "I hope that this album might now take on a new meaning: the music which represents the triumphant and hopeful return of live music, theatre and entertainment across the world". The concept album was recorded (mainly virtually) in 2021 and released on 9 July 2021 alongside the opening of the show in London. As well as some of the originating cast, the album included special guests Adam Lambert & Todrick Hall.

Following a workshop at Sydmonton, Andrew's home, "Tell Me On A Sunday" was recorded as an album in 1979. As a one-woman show, the album featured only Marti Webb, who also featured in the special performance early in 1980 which was broadcast on the BBC on 12 February 1980. After losing a bet with his brother Julian on a football match, Andrew agreed to write a classical / rock fusion album that Julian, a classical cellist, could perform with a rock backing band. The album was released in January and reached no. 2 on the UK Album charts in February 1978. The work is based around Paganini's 24th Caprice with 23 variations for cello and rock band added. The opening theme was subsequently used as the theme to The South Bank Show for many years.
