Excitement is building for the first ever Mandarin-language production of The Phantom of the Opera, which opens in Shanghai on 9 May. This week, the chandelier rose for the first time over the stage of the Shanghai Grand Theatre, where the landmark production will premiere in less than 3 weeks. The Phantom, will be played by Ayanga, Liu Lingfei, and He Liangchen. Yang Chenxiuyi, Pan Hangwei, and Lin Shao will play Christine.
