Musical theatre fans gathered at Trafalgar Square on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June to see cast members from some of their favourite West End shows perform at this year's West End LIVE event. Among the shows making an appearance this year were Aspects of Love, now showing at the Lyric Theatre, The Wizard of Oz, opening Thursday 6th July at The London Palladium and, of course, The Phantom of the Opera, which will celebrate its 37th year at His Majesty's Theatre in October.
Holly-Anne Hull (Christine Daaé) kicked off the performance with a stunning rendition of Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again, followed by Matt Blaker (Raoul) and Paige Blankson (Christine) taking the audience’s breath away with a duet of All I Ask of You. Finally, The Phantom himself, Jon Robyns made an appearance to serenade Hull with The Music of the Night. The performance was met with rapturous applause from an audience of West End enthusiasts and Phans alike. Didn’t catch the performance on the day? Don’t worry, you can witness the magic for yourself below.
